Police say 20-person brawl a family fight

A FAMILY fight was behind a 20-person brawl in Sydney early yesterday, police said.

A 25-year-old man with a head injury was taken to hospital, as was a 22-year-old man who fractured an ankle when hit by a car.

Inspector Yvette Smith said Green Valley police had arrested the 23-year-old driver and were questioning him.

Officers were patrolling near Hoxton Park about 1am when they saw the brawl.

"The officers called for assistance and moved to break up the fight," Inspector Smith told the ABC.

"We believe that it's a family that for some reason is in a disagreement."
