The Wolvi community is still in shock over mother's death

THE Wolvi community is still in shock over the apparently violent death of Beenham Valley Rd resident Kirra-Lea McLoughlin.

And as police await test results from her post mortem, many community members say they wish there was something they could have done.

One neighbour said people had taken the news like family members, with some so concerned they had cried in the local shop.

At the Goomboorian Playalong Centre, staff said they would miss the "always smiling" face of the young mother who "lived for her kids".

"We'll really miss her face coming through that door," one worker said.

"People are used to looking out for their neighbours and wish they could have done something," a neighbour said.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
