Military to invade Sydney Harbour for tactical training

MILITARY teams will invade Sydney Harbour this week, expected to occupy the iconic water way for almost a week.

Luckily, these will be exercises carried out by the Australian Defence Force as part of counter-terrorism training.

According to the ADF, the training will include "small tactical watercrafts" carrying uniformed teams armed with "simulation ammunition and hand-held pyrotechnics" in an effort to sharpen their capabilities.

Those visiting or living nearby will likely spot military vehicles, officers and boats in the Sydney Harbour and Port Botany areas - the ADF has asked spotters not to be alarmed.
