Dutchman Tom Dumoulin takes overall lead in Tour of Spain

A VICTORY on stage nine lifted Dutchman Tom Dumoulin (Giant-Alpecin) into the overall lead on the Tour of Spain.

The 24-year-old Dumoulin held off dual Tour de France winner Chris Froome (Team Sky) and Joaquin Rodriguez (Katusha) on the incredibly steep ride to the finish line.
