CLIVE Palmer has hit back after being described as a liar by Queensland Deputy Premier Jeff Seeney.
And he has accused the Newman Government of running scared, saying Palmer United Party polling has the LNP just above 30%.
"Their polling would be no different,'' the Fairfax MP said.
"They are going down like Adolf in the bunker - they call the executive building the Bunker."
Mr Palmer came out firing after Mr Seeney used Question Time in Parliament to accuse him of deceiving voters about where he lived and where he spent his time.
Mr Seeney said Mr Palmer's claim that he had lived in Coolum for the past 10 years was wrong and he had in fact been living at Fig Tree Pocket.
"You can't believe anything Clive Palmer says - he lives in a delusional world where he thinks he can buy everybody, but he couldn't buy this government, he couldn't buy us," Mr Seeney said.
"So he bought the Member for Gaven, he bought the Member for Yeerongpilly and started his own party."
Is Clive Palmer representing his electorate well
This poll ended on 07 June 2015.
Definitely. He's our next PM.
About as well as any other politician.
Not really, but he's still learning the ropes.
No. He's forgotten who elected him.
This is not a scientific poll. The results reflect only the opinions of those who chose to participate.
In turn, Mr Palmer reignited calls for a Royal Commission into the activities of the Queensland Government.
He is suing Campbell Newman for defamation following comments by the Queensland Premier that Mr Palmer had improperly offered money to members of the government.
Mr Palmer said his last donation to the LNP was in 2010 when it was in Opposition.
"Campbell Newman is simply telling untruths or he has been told lies by Deputy Premier Jeff Seeney and is using them to try and defend the defamation action," Mr Palmer said.
"If I had done anything wrong the Premier should have reported me to the CMC or to the police, but that didn't happen and it hasn't happened over the last two years."
Mr Palmer said he had had a house at Coolum for a number of years, was on the roll in Fairfax and held a substantial investment in the Palmer Coolum Resort.
"I'm also involved in international business,'' he said. "My company owns a house in Beijing and I have farms at Kingaroy and Lowood. I also have a house at the Gold Coast I use as a holiday place to get away from the resort.
"I spend two-thirds of my time travelling. I'm the leader of Palmer United Party and its only member in the House of Representatives.
"I get constant requests from across Australia to engage with people. I am also Secretary General of the World Leadership Alliance and have international commitments.
"Seeney and Newman are having a crack at me because last night at 1am Alex Douglas (Palmer United Party Queensland leader) tabled a judgment as a matter of public interest.
"The LNP is going off because they don't want people to know what they are up to."
Mr Palmer said he was committed to his electorate.
"I'm happy to take the Somlyay test any day,'' he said referring to questions raised about the performance of his predecessor Alex Somlyay (LNP).
