$6m for our schools

UNDER the first stage of the Building the Education Revolution (BER), four local secondary schools in Blair will receive more than $6 million.

This funding will be used specifically to build new or refurbished science laboratories and language centres or dual facilites under the Science and Language Centres for 21st Century Secondary Schools (SLC) element.

Federal Member for Blair, Shayne Neumann, said the SLC is delivering an important phase of the Government's $14.7 billion Building and Education Revolution.

Rosewood State High School will recieve more than $1.3 million which will fund the development of a Language and Cultural diveristy.

As part of the $6 million, Faith Lutheran College at Plainland will also receive more than $1.3 million.

“It is wonderful to see our local schools and our local community benefit,” Mr Neumann said.

Projects under the SLC will provide schools with access to modern facilities with leading edge technologies in their own spaces.
