65-year-old charged with indecent treatment of children

POLICE have charged a 65-year-old man with indecent treatment of children following alleged incidents at Southport.

It will be alleged two children were indecently dealt with in separate incidents in parklands on Marine Parade on December 13 and 14.

In one of the incidents, a child was allegedly held against their will.

A 65-year-old Ashmore man has been charged with five counts of indecent treatment of a child and one count of deprivation of liberty.

He is due to appear in the Southport Magistrates Court tomorrow.
