66yo man dies after car explodes

A 66-YEAR-OLD Plainland man has died at the Royal Brisbane Hospital this morning after being injured during a car explosion at Laidley yesterday.

About 9.45am, the man was working on a vehicle alone at a private Faith Avenue, Plainland, address when it exploded.

No one else was physically injured during this incident.

Police will prepare a report for the coroner on the incident.
