50 years of marriage

JOHN and Ann Heseltine originally met on Hayman Island where they both worked.

They were married at the West Mackay Anglican Church on June 24, 1961.

Then in January 1962 they left Queensland to move to South Australia for greener pastures.

They stayed there for five years with John gaining good work and promotions to management status.

After a very successful trip to the Northern Territory the company sent John to Queensland as senior manager of sales.

They had three children Debby, Sylvia and Wendy.

John and Ann moved to Laidley over eight years ago.

They have since been active members of the community.

John said that in the last 50 years they have not had an argument, and if any situation occurs that could lead to one, then it has been discussed amicably by them both.

They never go to bed without solutions and a big kiss.
