49-year-old man charged with murder

POLICE have charged a 49-year-old Southport man with murder following an investigation into a sudden death on May 14, 2014.

Police were called to a Whitby Street address, responding to the death of a 40-year-old Southport man.

Both men were known to each other.

The 49-year-old is due to appear in the Southport Magistrates Court on May 19, 2014 on one count each of murder and unlawful possession of a dangerous drug.
