
40 years of indoor bowls
LOCKROSE indoor bowls has celebrated 40 years of bowling.
Member for Lockyer, Ian Rickuss congratulated Lockrose on their 40 years and said it was great to see so many people of all ages come together and enjoy their sport.
Cutting of the cake was done by eldest/youngest members of the club Jean Baines and Colleen King.

Results of Elliot Shield played on August 6 are as follows.
Grantham came out winners scoring 204 points, Lockrose scored 147 and Laidley had 139.
Association president/patron's night played on August 13. Four games of eight ends were played with two drawn teams from the floor.
First drawn team was 9, who was V. Zischke, B. Zabel, A. Scumack, P. Kelly. Second drawn was team one of A. Wright, P. Steinhardt, M. Bauer and M. Bell.
Inter-association match between Lockyer and Ipswich was played on August 14. Winners were Ipswich, scoring 218 points, 10 ½ wins. Lockyer finished with 197-7 ½.
