
24-year-old in critical condition following rollover
A 24-YEAR-OLD male has been airlifted to hospital after being thrown from a vehicle during a single- vehicle rollover.
Four passengers were travelling along the Dawson Hwy yesterday when they were involved in a single-vehicle rollover about 15 kilometres north-west of Rolleston.
The young man who was thrown from the car was a French national and was attended to by both an intensive-care paramedic and doctor at the scene.
He was airlifted to the Rockhampton Hospital by RACQ Capricorn Rescue in a critical condition where he was treated for suspected internal bleeding, a fractured pelvis and femur.
The three remaining occupants in the car suffered injuries and were transported to hospital via road.
One of the passengers has suffered a possible broken ankle, another with a suspected head injury and the third passenger escaped with minor injuries.
