STANDOUT PERFORMANCE: Emma Williams, Rachel O'Connell, Judy Malone, Lauren Conlan, Elisha Tonner and Lily Bramble on stage.
RAINY weather failed to dampen the sheer brilliance of the musical production You Brilliant Thing held at the Helidon Community Centre on Sunday night.
The large cast consisted of people of all ages, with many of the children playing minor roles and mixing it with seasoned veterans.
Lachlan Donahoe played the part of Gilbert Smith, the servant who, once realising his own self worth, rose to great heights.
Judy Malone and Colm Dunne had the audience in stitches with their portrayal of the snobby Sybil and Eugene Sneazby.
Ten-year-old Lauren Conlan, eight-year-old Elisha Tonner and six-year-old Michael Conlan were convincing as their equally snobby children.
The theme song You Brilliant Thing was written by the band Hopney Moffett.
