AND LOVING IT. Clarendon State School celebrate the opening of their new outdoor area at the school this week with the $250,000 area already being dubbed the "Clarendome".
CLARENDON State School is the latest beneficiary of the federal government BER scheme with the opening of its new outdoor multi purpose area this week.
Affectionately dubbed the "Clarendome" by federal member Shane Neumann, who officially opened the new building, the $250,000 covered play area will not only provide a covered play and sport area for Clarendon State School's 58 students, but also an outdoor entertainment facility to provide parents and kids with all weather capability for school functions and concerts.
School principal Ashley Wilson was grateful for the new facility with an extra $50,000 as part of the grant able to provide an upgrade of the schools outdoor sporting facilities as well.
"It's just brilliant having a facility like this for the kids to use," Mr Wilson said.
Judging by the support the opening received the schools teachers and parents give the new centre the thumbs up as well.
