THE Lockyer Valley Art Gallery is the place to visit over the month of August.

It will host the “Debut Exhibition” of the Lockyer Valley Artists Inc, and works in all mediums and genres will be on display for viewing.

For collectors and for those who just enjoy fine arts the exhibition has something to suit everyone's tastes.

Dirk Blokland, a well known identity around the Gatton area will have some of his latest works on display, with some beautiful depictions of stately homes in the Lockyer Valley region.

Still life, florals, fantasy art, conventional and non conventional landscapes will be on view representing many different views of life form an artist's perspective.

Opening night is on next Friday night, July 30 at 7pm at the Lockyer Valley Art Gallery, nestled beside the picturesque Lake Apex in the Lockyer Valley Cultural Centre, Gatton.

Mayor Steve Jones will officially open the exhibition and guests can enjoy wine and finger food and live entertainment from Riannon Watson, a very talented young sixteen year old who recently opened the Laidley Agricultural Show.

Members of the Lockyer Valley Artists Inc. have been working on creating and producing a wide array of advertising material and very creative complimentary bookmarks that will be given out to guests on opening night. Admission is free.

For any information please phone secretary Judith Baker on 5464 5459.
