THE Lowood Stags reserve grade have achieved a tremendous feat for the year beating Norths 210-0.
In the three games the Stags and the Norths have played against each other, the Tigers have been unable to cross the Stags line a single time.
This was a goal the Stags made on Sunday as they once again piled on the points and beat the Tigers 68-0.
“It was the challenge I set at halftime for the boys,” proud coach John Harrison said.
The Stags game had a little bit of everything.
Strong forward running, some beautiful backline movements, big hits and long-range tries.
Sean Andrews and Liam Wendt produced hard bustling runs up the centre.
Glen Frohloff, Ray Sargent and Wayne Hayes were finishing off the backline tries superbly.
Josh Tabke and Ollie Olsen were producing bone rattling tackles and Chris Carey and Ray Erbacher were going the length of the field to score a couple tries.
The Stags understandably lost their way just a little in the second half, with the side believing they could score off every set of six.
But found that if they got back to basics it made the task so much easier and were able to roll their opposition if they play well structured football.
“I think we learnt a lesson about what works here today. Simple footy is best,” captain Mick Frohloff said.
Man of the match was Josh Mair with some great scoots from dummy half, with strong performances from Michael Hart and Michael Frohloff.
The Stags are looking forward to their battle next week against second placed Swifts up at Kingaroy on Sunday.
Any supporters who would like to come up on the bus please be at the footy grounds at 9.30am.
