THE LJ Hooker national Draw My House Competition has been a great success here in Gatton with more than 50 entries by enthusiastic young artists.
LJ Hooker Gatton has reviewed all entries and chosen the top drawings that they feel best represent the aim of the competition – a creative interpretation of what home means to them.
The ‘judging panel' at our office had the difficult task of selecting the three best entries from each age group, 3 to 6, 7 to 10 and 11 to 13 years.
“We had so many fantastic entries that our job of picking one entry from each age group was a difficult one,” John Boyd of LJ Hooker Gatton said.
The nine local finalists will now go in to a national draw where their entries will be judged on ljhooker.com and viewed by thousands of visitors from August 23 - 28.
On August 30 the three entries from each age group with the highest amount of public votes will be declared the winners and will get a $500 ABC Shop Gift Card, plus a LJ Hooker Marquee donated to their school, kindergarten or playgroup.
“The standard in terms of creativity was very high so we would like to thank everyone who entered this competition for the effort they put in to their drawings,” Mr Boyd said.
“I would like to congratulate our nine young artists who have made it through to the national competition and encourage you to support them by visiting ljhooker.com and voting.”
