Apple bans developer from apps store

APPLE Inc. says it has banned a developer from its applications store after hundreds of hijacked user accounts were used to push his titles to best sellers.

Apple has banned a developer for violating a license agreement, including fraudulent purchases.

APPLE Inc. says it has banned a developer from its applications store after hundreds of hijacked user accounts were used to push his titles to best sellers.

Apple spokeswoman Trudy Muller said about 400 iTunes users were affected.

She says developer Thuat Nguyen has been banned for violating an Apple license agreement, including fraudulent purchases.

Apple's store offers paid and free applications for the iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch.
