The Hawks poor ball control resulted into a lack of possession which kept the boys on the defensive line for large amounts of time.

Despite needing to defend their line for most of the match, the Hawks worked hard and showed positive signs for the 2010 season.

Paul Shepley, Aaron Werth, Jayden Lund and Chris Dodt were tireless and never gave up.

In the end the Tigers were too good for the Hawks, winning 36-18. Tries were scored by Aaron Werth, Chris Brown and Paul Shepley.

Tries were scored by Andrew Bromley, Chris Ryan and Beau White (3).

The Under 18s started the match well but were eventual rundown 40-24.
