A close call for top four

WITH less than a point between Mulgowie and Gatton/Fordsdale, the A-grade minor premiership is still up for grabs.

Glenore Grove is also hot on the heels of the two top sides and after a dominant performance on Saturday against Southern Lockyer, the side will be looking for an outright victory this week to push them closer to the top two sides.

In reserve grade Helidon have led the competition from start to finish this year.

After a poor couple seasons in A-grade, this year the side slipped back to reserve grade and have set the benchmark.

Defending premiers Lake Clarendon are in second place and will be pushing for the minor premiership with five matches remaining.

In B-grade only one point separates Glenore Grove Blub, Mulgowie Gold and Helidon Maroon.

With four sides making the finals in B-grade there is a gap starting to emerge between the top four sides and the remainder of the competition and any side below fourth place will have to win almost every game from here on in if they are a chance of playing in the finals.
