TWO male youths have been charged with several arson offences following a fire at Lowood last week.
The fire, which is believed to have begun at about 1.45pm last Friday, was allegedly started in a shed behind businesses in the main street of Lowood.
The 12-year-old and 13-year-olds have been charged with one count each of attempted arson, arson and break and enter.
The boys will be dealt with under the Juvenile Justice Act.
A total of 11 people including five fire-fighters were taken to Ipswich Hospital with nausea, headaches and respiratory problems after inhaling fumes and smoke from the fire.
Queensland Fire and Rescue Service scientific officers conducted tests on a chemical found at the site and reports suggest that the chemical was waste oil and is believed to be harmless.
All 11 people who were affected by the smoke were released from hospital without further attention.
The two juveniles were initially assisting police with their inquiries into the fire but have since been charged.
