Woman pleads guilty to dog sex

A 28-YEAR-OLD woman yesterday pleaded guilty before Toowoomba District Court to having unlawful carnal knowledge of a dog.

However, the woman pleaded not guilty to two similar charges and her husband, 49, standing beside her in the court dock, pleaded not guilty to three counts of unlawful carnal knowledge of a dog.

Police claim the incidents occurred at Fairyland, north of Chinchilla, at various dates including December 11, 2006, and between November 1, 2007, and February 29, 2008.

No details of the alleged incidents were aired in court yesterday and Crown prosecutor Noel Needham sought that the matters be transferred to the Dalby District Court, the jurisdiction in which the incidents were alleged to have occurred.

Mr Needham said the District Court was sitting at Dalby at the moment and a trial date on the bestiality charges could be obtained next week.

Judge Sarah Bradley remanded both accused on bail and transferred the case to Dalby District Court for mention next week.
