Toowoomba range up lanes faces delays on Sunday

If you are planning to drive up to Toowoomba on Sunday then be sure to allow extra time due to roadworks on the day.

The Department of Transport and Main Roads says it will be undertaking pavement investigations of the Toowoomba Range up lane this Sunday.

The investigations will take place between 6am and 6pm under traffic control and a 40km/h reduced speed limit.  

Deparrtment of Transport Darling Downs dictrict director Kym Murphy said short delays would expected on the up lanes only.

"These pavement investigations need to be undertaken to determine the extent of works required for additional pavement repairs," Ms Murphy said.

"These sections of the highway could not be addressed during the recently completed flood repair works because they did not qualify for flood-reconstruction funding."

Ms Murphy thanked drivers in advance for theirr patience and cooperation while these investigations take place.
