The Lockyer Valley Relay for Life was again a huge success as an army of purple circled around the Gatton Showgrounds on the weekend.

Hundreds participated in the Relay for Life with the event raising more than $50,000 towards the Cancer Council.

Teams set up camp around the showgrounds as the relay kicked off on Saturday afternoon with members walking the track through the night for 18 hours, finishing at 9am on Sunday.
