Laidley teen charged over mugging

Police have charged a 17-year-old Laidley man after an incident in Bundamba last week.

Just before 2am on October 27, a 19 year old Daisy Hill man was walking from a railway station in Bundamba when he was approached by a number of men.

The men assaulted him and stole a wallet and a number of pieces of electronic equipment.

The victim attended Ipswich Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

The man has been charged with robbery with violence and is due to appear in the Ipswich Magistrates Court today.

A 15-year-old Caboolture boy was also charged in relation to this incident earlier this week. He has been dealt with under the provisions of the Youth Justice Act 1992.

Investigations are continuing.
