Esk race-goers glam up for final meeting

RACING fever infected Esk on Saturday as the town frocked up for one last race day.

Esk Jockey Club opened the gates for its last race meeting of 2014, a five-race card.

On track jockeys pushed their horses hard while off-track crowds frocked up for fashions on the field.

Auctioneers also jumped up on the back of the ute to sell items between races.


Race one winner was Swish Wish trained by Col William.

Race two winner was Bay Rust trained by Ron Macrae.

Race three winner was Broadway Lass trained by Shane K Iverson.

Race four winner was Grace Ace trained by Ben Robinson.

Race five winner was Royaltown Road trained by Ken Jones.

The next Esk Jockey Club race meeting will be on July 4, 2015.
