The Maryborough Neighbourhood Centre is based on concepts of building community spirit, promoting self-help programs and helping people to gain control over their own lives. The Centre has a community development focus that provides the following support services: information and referrals, a multicultural program, numeracy and literacy program, counselling program, Adult education, Asian Women Development Program, Computer classes for all. an Information and Referral Service, Adult Parenting Program, Maryborough Youth Achievement Awards, Maryborough Youth Community Association, National Day Celebration and a Friendship Club.
The Neighbourhood Centre also operates a coffee shop as part of our fund-raising activity to support other expenses of the centre and a low cost venue for meetings and workshops.
