SERVICING OF TREATMENT PLANTS

This is a council requirement – mandatory not optional. Domestic wastewater treatment plants require periodical servicing by licensed persons with the service report to be forwarded to council within one month of the due date of service.

The frequency with which treatment plants must be serviced vary between the different brands/types of treatment plants. Aerated (“blower” type) treatment plants eg Taylex, Aqua Nova, Biocycle, Ozzikleen, Earthsafe etc require quarterly servicing (4 times a year). Sand filter type systems (Nature Flow, Watertech, Ecosafe etc) and Biolytix systems require annual servicing (once a year). All waste septic systems do not have mandatory servicing requirements however should be desludged every 5-7 years. Treatment plants will also require desludging (pumping out by a licensed contractor) approx every 5-7 years.

Quarterly service (paid on the day) $65 incl GST

Quarterly service (paid a year in advance ie 4 x services) $240 inc GST

Annual service (paid on the day) $85 inc GST
